Season 3 Meta in 30 Seconds
#1 Loadout: MK35 ISR + VST. The MK35 ISR is the new Season 3 battle pass weapon and immediately became meta — it covers mid-to-long range with near-zero recoil. Pair it with the VST SMG for close range. This covers every engagement distance in Verdansk.
#2 Loadout: AK-74 + VST. If you don't have the MK35 yet, the AK-74 with recoil attachments beams at range. Same VST pairing for CQC.
#3 Loadout: AMAX + any SMG. The CR-56 AMAX returned via battle pass and immediately reclaimed its position. Best-in-class long-range TTK, slight recoil, excellent for BR.
The attachment formula this season is simple: monolithic suppressor, longest barrel, biggest magazine, then recoil control or ADS speed depending on your problem. Run it and stop second-guessing yourself.
01 — #1 Loadout: MK35 ISR + VST
The MK35 ISR arrived as a Season 3 battle pass weapon and the community immediately confirmed what pro players suspected in the preview footage — it is the best mid-to-long range weapon in the game right now. Clean iron sights mean you have an extra attachment slot for bullet velocity instead of an optic. The VST covers everything under 20 metres that the MK35 is not built for.

Why it works: The iron sights free up an attachment slot for bullet velocity, which makes hits connect at range before the enemy can react. The suppressor keeps you off the minimap. Why it works: No stock gives maximum strafe speed — in close quarters, moving while shooting is what wins. The VST with no stock lets you strafe at near full speed. The 45-round mag is enough for a full squad engagement without reloading mid-fight. The Merc Foregrip handles the vertical recoil that appears without a stock.

🔒 How to Unlock the MK35 ISR
Battle Pass Page 3, HVT reward — spend one Unlock Token. Level the weapon first in Black Ops Royale (floor loot mode) where you use real guns without loadout pressure. Learn its recoil before bringing it into standard BR. A store bundle alternative will be available if grinding is not your preference.

02 — #2 Loadout: AK-74 + VST
If you are not yet through the battle pass to Page 3, the AK-74 is the best non-battle-pass AR in the game right now. The Season 3 recoil attachments reduce it to a near-laser at range. Pair it with the same VST build as above — the pairing is unchanged.

Why it works: The AK-74 received bullet velocity and recoil control buffs in Season 3 that moved it back up to competitive range. The 60-round mag is mandatory for squad fights — you will run dry on 30 rounds in a three-player push. The Commando Foregrip handles horizontal recoil which is the AK-74's primary challenge at range.
03 — #3 Loadout: AMAX + Kogot-7
The CR-56 AMAX returned via the Season 3 battle pass and immediately reasserted itself as the best-in-class long-range AR. It has the highest sustained damage at distance of any assault rifle this season. Slight recoil that is manageable with the right setup. Pair it with the Kogot-7 — one of the best close-range SMG TTKs in the game and still unbuffed and unnerfed.

Why it works: The AMAX has always had elite long-range damage but the recoil made it punishing. The XRK 26.8 barrel and Commando Foregrip combination tightens the spread significantly. It is slightly less forgiving than the MK35 ISR but has better raw damage per bullet — experienced players will prefer it in the final circle.

04 — Best Sniper: HDR
The HDR is the best sniper rifle in the game right now and it is not particularly close. Infinite effective range, strong bullet velocity, and capable of one-shotting at all distances. Pair it with the MK35 ISR for a loadout that covers 5 metres to 500 metres with almost no weakness gap.

Why it works: The Variable Zoom Scope lets you adjust magnification mid-game — critical when the circle pulls you from long-range hills into mid-range final circles. The 26.9" barrel maximises bullet velocity so hits register before distant targets can react. The HDR with this build can one-shot at any range in the game.

Warzone patches mid-season without warning. The MORS being listed as bugged means it could either get nerfed (making it useless) or fixed at any point. Check this page after any patch notification — we update within 24 hours of every change.
06 — Attachment Philosophy for Season 3
The Season 3 meta has converged on a simple formula that works across almost every weapon class. Understanding it means you can build any new weapon that drops mid-season without waiting for guides:
Step 1 — Muzzle: Always monolithic suppressor. Keeps you off the minimap, extends damage range, and tightens hipfire. Non-negotiable unless the gun has no suppressor option.
Step 2 — Barrel: Longest available barrel. This extends damage range and increases bullet velocity. Both matter more in BR than in multiplayer due to engagement distances.
Step 3 — Magazine: Largest available mag. Squads require sustained fire. Running out of ammo mid-fight is a death sentence.
Step 4 — Recoil or ADS: If your problem is recoil, add a foregrip or stock. If your problem is ADS speed (you lose close-range fights), remove the stock and add a lighter rear grip instead.
Step 5 — Free slot: Bullet velocity for ARs, mobility for SMGs. The fifth slot is where you personalise based on your playstyle.

Run new Season 3 weapons in Black Ops Royale first — the floor loot mode means you use real guns in real engagements without the disadvantage of an unlevelled weapon in loadout lobbies. You learn the recoil and level the gun simultaneously. This is the correct order.
